It is in the plan of the first draft budget

I know we have all had enough of those who feel endangering others by speeding on our narrow streets is acceptable. I have mentioned here before we need a speed trailer that registers speed and takes a time stamped picture of the vehicle including the license plate number so citations can be issued. Not warnings, citations.
I have personally witnessed cars going past bicyclists way too fast, even one time I remember seeing a car go speeding between bikes. This is just wrong. Our kids are more important than that person's need to speed.
We have tried movable speed bumps that work until they are moved, then it is back to the same old speeding. Installation also includes drilling holes into our streets. Speeding will stop or the violators will pay the price.
I expect this to stay in the budget and the trailer will be in use next spring after the budget kicks in so speeders be warned. The day of reckoning is approaching quickly.
The trailer you are seeing around the area now is just a heads up for what is coming.
