2013 CHILI COOK-OFF RULES



1.      Contestants should have their Chili at the CWL Rec. Center by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday October 19, 2013.

2.      All ingredients must be pre-cooked and treated prior to the event and chili is to be brought ready to be eaten.  A minimum of 2 gallons of chili is required for this event. If you don’t have enough to share, the less the chance you have to win The People’s Choice Award.

3.      Contestants are responsible for supplying all their own utensils and products related to their chili submission.  Maintenance of the chili and its proper temperature for serving is your responsibility.  Chili must be kept at 140 degrees or hotter during this event.  Remember to bring an extension cord.

4.      Spoons and cups for the tasters will be provided.  All condiments must be provided by you.

5.      Booth decorations are encouraged.

6.      Judging will be from 6:00-7:00pm.  “Judges Choice” and “People’s Choice” certificates and cash prize will be handed out at 7:30.

7.      Each contestant is responsible for policing and cleaning up the area at the end of the evening.  Make sure you are at your area to hand out samples for the “People Choice”.

8.  Any contestant may enter the chili contest regardless of occupation.
