Your weekly Public Safety report... with comments

That small handful who like to say our Public Safety department is a waste of money should take a careful look at the report below. Notice the lack of actual crime now in Candlewick as well as the number of assists to residents. To me it is very reassuring to know we have officers that can render aid quickly when needed and they do so very efficiently as I can personally attest. I am no young guy myself but think of the peace of mind this gives the elderly. These are good people here to serve.

Week Ending 01/05/2014

Rescue CallsPublic Safety responded to the 2500 block of Candlewick Dr. for a lift assist.  The subject refused transport.
Public Safety responded to the 400 block of Atlantic for a lift assist.  The subject refused transport.
Public Safety responded to the 1600 block of Candlewick Dr. for a subject not feeling well.  The subject was transported for treatment.
Public Safety responded to the 600 block of Constitution for a report of a subject feeling light headed and weak.  The subject was transported for treatment.
Public Safety responded to the 100 block of Brandywine for a report of a subject dizzy and ill.  The subject was transported for treatment.
Public Safety responded to the 200 block of Griffin for a welfare check.  Rescue personnel were summoned by Public Safety and the subject was transported for treatment.
Public Safety responded to the 100 Queens Pl. for a subject feeling ill.  The subject was transported for treatment.
Open DoorPublic Safety responded to the 400 block of Candlewick Dr. for a report of an open door.  The residence was checked by the Boone County Sheriff and the residence was secured.
Traffic CrashesPublic Safety responded to multiple calls of vehicles in ditches.
