The Styling for Pink Team Press Release
Cindy Genrich and her amazing team members Pam Highland, Pat
Vistine, Marykay Garganera, Maryann Fecko, Norah Nelson, Sandy Morse, Ellen
Steiskal, Bev Brand and Vicki Bressler raised over $13,300 plus private
donations at the Styling for Pink Event on October7, 2012 to help the fight
against Breast Cancer. It was brought to our attention by Carolynn Shelton from
the Winnebago County Health Department that over 300 women are on a waiting
list in Boone, DeKalb, and Winnebago Counties for mammograms. The American
Cancer Society has always been our focus for donating to Making Strides against
Cancer. We support our local American
Cancer Society and will be giving them $7,300 from our team. To help local women in Boone and Winnebago counties,
we are teaming up with Swedish American Center for Women to support their
newest program, Project F.A.M.E (Funding and Advocacy for Mammography Exams).
The Styling for Pink Team will make a donation to F.A.M.E for 40 mammograms. The Winnebago County Health
Department will begin the referral process to jump start the waiting list. We will be providing information on WREX 13
