Really not a good thing!

Piranha
At times we all do things without considering the consequences. Introduction of this type fish by a resident has happened before but they need warm tropical waters to survive. Last summer with the excess heat and drought our lake temperature rose to acceptable levels for survivability and some of the lake stayed open all winter so this species survived and will now flourish and multiply here. It is suggested you net any type fish you catch due to the carnivorous nature of the Piranha . If you happen to catch one do not return it to the lake. Please be very careful when putting in piers, skiing, tubing, or even boating. Do not dangle your fingers in the water. Hopefully a completely frozen lake next year will lower the temperature enough to at least control the quantity of these predators so things can return to some semblance of normality.
By the way, what is the date today?  Ken
