Ambulance wars continue

As the battle between North Boone Fire Department and Capron Rescue Squad continues there are now two meetings scheduled in our Rec Center so both sides can present their arguments.

North Boone Fire Department wants a yes vote for a real estate tax increase to fund their ambulance service. The Capron Rescue Squad contends there is already efficient and adequate coverage for the area so the tax increase is unnecessary and they want a no vote. The Capron Rescue Squad has a staffed building here in Candlewick.

North Boone has their meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10th.
Capron Rescue Squad has their meeting scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13th
Both are at the Rec Center.
Voting will be March 15th.

Candlewick has a relationship with both parties and must stay neutral on the matter. It is very important you attend these meetings to decide which way you wish to vote. I intend to be at both meetings to listen, not speak. I do hope to hear specifically how either vote will affect Candlewick's service times. I truly hope to see you there. Let's fill the Rec Center.
