Board meeting notes... February 16, 2016



The AQUA update... Joel (from Aqua) indicates relocation of the lift station is progressing ahead of schedule and this week roads will be effected by the work. The relocation is expected to be completed before possible heavy spring rains for better containment.

Finance Commission reports write offs in the amount of $102.44. Accounting adjustments $854.41.
Our standing at the end of January is Operating cash of $772,225.78, Operating investments of $439,312.17, Reserve investments $3,525,960.64. Total investments $3,965,272.81 and Total cash of $4,737,498.59
We are currently under budgeted expense by $283,402.11 and over revenue budget $35,733.78, meaning we are “to the good” by $319,135.89 fiscal year to date.

Lake Management reports more fish structure is being added this week, there will be a walk of the creek leading into the dip March 3 at 3:30. Spring algae will be monitered. Five year boat inspections are being considered.

Events reports March 19 will be the Spring Craft fair. Lunch with the Easter Bunny is planned for March 12 at 11 a.m.

The Recreation Commission would like to have a town hall to discuss outpost plans and get input. Two trees are to be purchased for the dog park with existing remaining budgeted funds. Polar Plunge is planned for April 1, Glo-Go run is planned for September 24. Back yard bird feeding classes are planned for Thursday March 31 and Sunday April 3.

The Roads Commission is starting up and a charter for the commission was passed. Meetings will start soon.

Your Maintenance Department besides their normal duties have replaced toilet, vanity, faucet, and floor in the East gatehouse, repainted signs for parks and information (they look great), worked on the pool repair plan, installed a footrail in the Savanah Oaks clubhouse, and of course salting and plowing.

Outpost replacement update, There is one architect so far and bids are being taken by others. There is to be a general meeting March 6th with residents to present how far planning has come for the new Outpost and get ideas form the attendees.

Your board discussed having a Town Hall meeting to for general input from residents when the new board memers ares seated. Date to be announced.

The office is having an Agreement for Deed presented occasionally. A new attorney generated procedure was read setting the perameters of what is considered necesssary to allow those properties not to be considered rental property. The rule passed.

The board set a special meeting date of Monday, March 7th at 6 p.m. For a short meeting to pass the 2016/2017 budget.
