What
has been accomplished in the last four years?
Our
lake is now clear due to the alum treatment and we are working to
keep it that way. We are receiving government grants. We have a roads
program now by which your roads will be maintained without each
property owner paying thousands of dollars in special assessments to
rebuild them all at one time. We will have a new Rescue Squad
facility in Candlewick soon. We are close to finishing the dog park.
We have an accountability relationship now with AQUA without spending
untold thousands of dollars in a lawsuit. We have re-written and
passed the restated CC&Rs to get us in compliance with state law.
We have brought up to date the By-Laws and Rules & Regulations.
We have found a way to cut the losses in Savannah Oaks. We have a
strong collection procedure in place. Our reserves are well funded.
We have a new web site and better communications. We have held dues
down with only one small increase in the last four years. We are
running lean and mean. We have made a smooth transition to a new
General Manager, a new Maintenance Manager, a new Public Safety
chief, a new IT department head, a new Accounting Manager, a new Rec
Center manager, and more.
When
I use the word WE regarding the accomplishments I
don't
mean only management, employees, and the board. I also
include
all the volunteers. My appreciation of volunteers has
only
grown in the last four years. Your physical work, ideas, and
brainpower
in general are so valuable. Your association is
saving
a huge amount of money through your efforts.
