Saturday
the 26th
about 6:45 I pulled into the rec center parking lot by the launch.
Some of the guys were already there as was the delivery truck full
of our fish. We ordered 3300 Walleye and 2200 Channel cat as was
decided after the last fish shocking survey. The hatchery threw in an
extra 50 Cat and 75 Walleyes to cover any that didn't survive the
trip. The fish looked very healthy. The Walleye were in the six to
eight inch range and the Cat were eight to ten inches so
survivability should be strong. Be sure to notice the albino Cat in
one of the pictures. He is out there in our lake now also.
As
you can see from the pictures, it was dark when the procedure
started. Jim Brefeld, Tom Pinkowski Sr., Lee Odom, and Bob McHoes
were there for the wet and cold job. The best description of the morning was blustery. After that it was on to the leaf
drop off duties for most of them so these guys keep busy. Being the
wimp I am I stayed dry and took pictures.
