Aqua Well Update
This is an important message from Aqua Illinois sent October 3, 2014.
The Candlewick well rehabilitation project has been completed. The well has passed all required water sample tests and will be placed back in service. Aqua will begin a system-wide flushing and hydrant maintenance program on Monday, October 6th which will last approximately one (1) week. This flushing and inspection program is designed to improve water quality and ensure that fire hydrants will operate correctly when needed. During the flushing process customers may experience decreased water pressure or temporary discoloration of their water. This is not harmful. Discoloration can be eliminated by running cold water for a few minutes until it clears.
