Crack filling

The special meeting Tuesday evening was for the most part to pass a resolution spending up to $40,000.00 for crack filling of our roads. This expenditure is budgeted in our reserves so it will not affect the operating budget. We will be crack filling over 100,000 linear feet to avoid water getting into the cracks and freezing during the winter. That freeze process takes a serious toll on roads and it was skipped last year so it is overdue. The cracks under one inch in width will be blown out using compressed air then sealed with a hot sealant.
