You've heard the saying "TOUGH OL' BIRD!

 I just received a call from Rich Witt. (He is another tough old bird) Rich just this afternoon came across Officer Tom Dawson. Tom was a little way off the road in the low area by the dam. Rich stopped to take a look at him. He had some shelled corn with him so he approached Tom and tossed some handfulls into an area clear of snow. Tom came up and really went at the corn so he was hungry. The area where one of the wings connects to the body was ruffled but he was moving all right although he was very wet. Rich was within about ten feet of him so he still doesn't have much fear of humans. I wonder if he will now be leery of cars after his ordeal.
