Roscoe
Disposal presented a proposal asking to contract with BBJ to handle
some of the manpower and trucks necessary to provide better service
to Candlewick along with using smaller trucks to protect our roads.
Roscoe also promises to improve and simplify their billing procedure
as well as be more communicative with residents. We can all see what
the garbage trucks are doing to our roads, especially the edges, and
Roscoe promises to keep toward the center of the roads with the
smaller trucks as we insist. The request will be confirmed or denied
at the next regular board meeting. Personally it appears to me to be
a win/win.
There
are two contenders on the table for operating the Dockside Grill.
They have completely different concepts and it is the board's
duty to decide which will fit the community better as well as which
has the greater chance of success so we can stop the swinging door at
the Grill. It appears we will have a restaurant operation again as
that was the most requested option from the property owners but as
all can see from the just completed budget negotiations these things
can turn on a dime so stay tuned for the report from the next regular
board meeting when the decision will be made.
