Fishin' Friday... just off the roadbed

Some of us old timers remember Whiting Road ran right through the areas that is now our lake. The old road bed provides great fish cover. When fishing the bed you will need to be careful of snags like barbed wire and other remnants of the road but it is a hot spot especially in winter when you can sit right on top of it without drifting in a boat. The easiest access is from Castaway Park.

As you can see, the road bed is not the only place people were fishing Friday, they were all over the lake. I am told this has been a strong year for ice fishing so far.
