| After having the bags inflated the car body was towed over to the general area where the two boat are sitting then the bags were deflated and the body sunk to it's appointed spot. Simulated water rescue will be performed by the water search and rescue teams from the surrounding area periodically. As I told them, we may be a gated private community but we realize we are part of a larger community and have a responsibility to help with something like this when we can. There were something like five departments there as well as Channels 23, 17, and 39 from Rockford to record the event and Barb Applehans was taking pictures and reporting for the BDR so this is good press for Candlewick. |
