The legal committee met Tuesday night to discuss the CC&Rs, Bylaws, policies for disseminating information about possible contamination from AQUA discharge during heavy periods of rain, concealed carry, a rewrite of the policy for adjoining lots having lines vacated and dues reduction, and other items. It was quite a lively discussion with the committee recommending to the board adoption of the discharge policy to be sure all residents are made aware of any possible hazards and existing hazards to health and safety. The CC&Rs are in the final stages of passage, this has been a long fought battle. The ByLaws are pretty much set for the vote. Those have been an extensive re-write and it was needed. 30% of property owners need to vote yes to pass these. More info to come later. The rewrite of the adjoining lot policy will be sent to the board for further study. The concealed carry law that just passed was simply touched on to get everyone thinking about how we will handle it when it actually hits next year.It was a good meeting with some heated exchanges, a good thing when discussing serious issues. I felt a lot was aired and discussed. You missed a good one. Rich DeVries led the commission well.
