I like to occasionally throw in a few not commonly known facts just to spice things up a little. Here's one for you to chew on during your Fourth of July picnic.
The music so often associated with a fireworks display is the 1812 Overture. Were you aware this most American theme was actually written by a Russian composer to celebrate Russia's successful defense of their country from Napolean's attack? It fits in so well with it's cannon fire, brass instruments, and chimes we kind of adopted it for our Fourth of July.
